What are cookies?
Cookies are text files stored on the user’s device (visitor’s store). Cookies allow the shop to recognize previous preferences of the user during the next visit to the store. A cookie file does not contain or collect information.
a) adaptation of the content of the shop websites to the user’s preferences and ensuring security and optimization of the use of websites; in particular, these files allow to recognize the device of the user and properly display the website, tailored to his individual needs;
b) create statistics that help to understand how users use websites, which allows improving their structure and content;
c) maintaining the user’s session (after logging in), thanks to which the user does not have to re-enter their login and password on every subpage of the website;
What kind of cookies does the store use?
- sessions cookies – they work only when browsing the shop pages, thus enabling their proper functioning. They are also used by the server to store information about activities, in case of loosing the connection with the server, the user can return to the same place on the website.
- persistent cookies – remain on the device after visiting the store, which means that the store may remember the settings of the user during subsequent visits. As a result, the shop becomes easier to navigate and remembers the user’s preferences.
- third party cookies – allows one to customize the displayed page to the preferences of the user when shopping.
The following types of cookies are used as part of the store:
a) necessary cookies that enable the use of services available in the store, e.g. authentication cookies used for services that require authentication within the store;
b) cookies used to ensure security, e.g. used to detect fraud in the area of the store authentication;
c) efficiency cookies, enabling the collection of information on the use of the store websites;
d) functional cookies, allowing one to remember selected setting and personalization of the user interface, e.g. in the scope of the selected language or region from which the user comes, font size, website appearance, etc.;
e) advertising cookies, enabling delivery to user of advertising content more tailored to their interests.
In many cases, the software used for browsing websites (web browser) allows cookies to be stored in the end device of the user by default. Users can change their cookie settings at any time. These settings can be changed in particular in such a way as to block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser settings or inform about their every posting in the user device.
